Seaside Painting ‘Summer Sun’ This is an original painting using acrylic paints on canvas, it is framed in a white contemporary ‘stepped’ frame, as shown in the detail photographs.
The painting itself measures 16″ x 20″, the overall size in its frame is approximately 22″ x 26″, it is strung and ready to hang straight on your wall. I only ever use Professional Artists Quality Paint so it will remain colourful and vibrant for a lifetime and beyond, all it needs to keep it clean is a gentle dust.
I wanted to evoke memories of long lazy days spent by the sea so used tones of orange to emulate the sun shining and the feeling of calmness and relaxation. I created the flowers by ‘spattering’ the paint and I also used sparkle and texture mediums to add an extra dimension and shine.
