ORIGINAL CYCLING PAINTING ‘SPEED 2’
This is an original Cycling painting entitled ‘Speed 2’ depicting the peloton of cyclists rushing towards the viewer. I wanted to create the drama and speed of the race as the cyclists approach in a blur of movement.
I poured fluid paint to create the bicycle wheels letting it drip down the canvas. I then added the cyclists discovering the detail within the painting. The heads were added last whilst ensuring that the canvas was flat. To create the illusion of speed I pulled out colours from the riders jerseys to give a blur of colour.
The painting size is 20″ x 16″, the overall size is 26″ x 22″, it is strung and ready to hang straight on your wall. I only ever use professional quality materials so your painting will remain in perfect condition for many years to come, all it needs to keep it clean is a gentle dust.
